| With the current national economic situation and national foreclosures at an all time high, it has become a excellent time to buy! Teton valley has not been immune to this national trend. Driggs, Victor, Tetonia, and all of Teton Valley have excellent deals to offer within these categories.
I have spent a lot of time trying to understand the foreclosure process so that I can better help those that I represent.We currently have listings that are in foreclosure, and the sellers want to perform a "Short Sale". This means that the payoff of their mortgage is more than what the property can sell for. This requires the Seller's lender to approve a "short payoff". This benefits all parties involved! The bank does not have to proceed with the legal foreclosure process (which is very expensive). The sellers are able to sell their home, and are relieved of the debt without a foreclosure on their credit (there is still credit damage, but it is reduced), and their credit can start repairing. The Buyers get a good deal on a property!
There are Bank REO's (Real Estate Owned) within Teton Valley. This means that the bank has already foreclosed on the property, and is now owned by the bank. These transactions are often simpler to perform than a ShortSale, and you can usually get them an excellent price as well! There are also many other properties offered throughout Driggs, Victor, and Tetonia, many of which are being offered at discount prices.
